Types of access system
1. Standalone Access Control
This system can be used on one or more independent doors within a building. Access is granted by using either a numeric code, PIN, or presenting a magstrip token. Standalone systems are ideal for smaller premises with a smaller number of users and can easily be extended as required.
2. PC Based Access Control
PC Based or networked systems as they are also known, can be used to control one or more doors within a building. Access is again granted in the same way such as numeric code, PIN or magstrip token. This type of system offers central control via a network. The system is very flexible and allows different permissions to be set for each door and also individual users.
PC systems are ideal for larger premises and managing large numbers of doors and users can be much easier.
The system can easily be extended and can also be integrated with other security systems on site.
Intercom Systems
These systems are ideal to use at a front door or at an electric gate. They allow the user to speak to or see the caller before allowing them access to their property.
1. Audio
This allows audio communication only via a phone handset or panel with speaker and call button.
2. Video
This allows the user to see and hear the caller via a video panel.
